Frequently asked question

Technology

The Women’s and Men’s Trench and Parka are waterproof, thanks to 3 layer material Seaqual with 8,000 water columns and seam tape construction, they protect you from rain and occasional showers during your outdoor travels. The Bomber fabric is water repellent, it can resist light rain for a short time, so it is better to wear it under the Trench or Parka. The Fleece doesn’t have any rain repellency.

Primaloft is a brand leader in the industry for high quality insulations. The technology allows for very soft, warm and lofty insulations with minimum added weight to the garments, making them light and easy to pack. We use Primaloft insulation for our Women’s Bomber. If you want to know more, check out our Materials section.

It is an advanced technology from Polartec, one of the leaders in premium knits for outdoor apparel. The fabric has a special construction that encapsulates air that acts as an insulation for the body, keeping it warm. This construction also minimizes microfiber shedding during washing, see more on this on Materials section.

Modular layering is a method coming from the outdoor world that manages body thermoregulation by adding or removing layers, to achieve optimal temperature. Agogic uses layering to make you feel your best when moving around in the city under the rain.

The outer layers are our waterproof jackets, the Trench and Parka, the inner layers are the Bomber and the Fleece. You can wear the combination of garments that best suits the weather and your individual heat perception, packing up the layers you don’t need but having them ready to use. You can clip the outers and inners together by using snap tabs and loops at sleeve cuffs and center back neck and the snap button at the front facing.

Shipping

At Agogic we believe in useful, minimal, no waste packaging that does not pollute the environment. We employ reusable and returnable plastic bags by Repack for all our items. Once you open the package, you can simply fold and drop the empty bag to a postbox. Repack checks it, cleans it, and sends it back to us for reuse. Each garment is secured with its own recycled polyester mini rope and presented with a user guide in its own envelope, all printed on recycled paper.

Size

We have standard sizing S, M, L.

To help you select the correct Agogic size for you, on our size chart you can find the body measurements (chest, hips, and height) corresponding to each size and also a conversion to the numeric sizing for EU, UK, Italy.

If you need clarifications, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to guide you into choosing the correct size.

Keeping your back straight and proud chest, place a tape measure around the widest point of your chest.

Hold one end of the tape at the front and slide the other end around your back all the way to the front, matching with the other end. The number you see where the two ends meet is your chest measurement.

Bear in mind that for the measurement to be correct you should feel the tape hugging your chest without being too tight. Ladies should measure themselves while wearing their bra.

Keep your feet shoulder-width apart. Place a tape measure around the widest point of your hips. Hold one end of the tape at the front and slide the other end around your back all the way to the front, matching with the other end.

Bear in mind that for the measurement to be correct you should feel the tape hugging your hips without being too tight. You can measure yourself wearing pants.

We recommend taking the smaller size, as our styles have a roomy fit and length.

As some of our styles have a roomy fit and length, on our size chart we suggest size based on body height to ensure you are happy with the proportion of the garment to your body. Please keep in mind that the measurements you should consider first are chest and hips circumferences, then your height.

No problem! You can return for free the garment unused and unwashed with all its labels to us. Please check our Returns and Exchanges policy.

Yes they are the same garment. These jackets have been designed to fit and be loved by both Men and Women.

Care

To ensure long-lasting performance, close all fastenings and wash your Trench on the washing machine with cold water then tumble dry low. The heat of the tumble dry helps preserve the seam sealing quality and re-activate the DWR, so it is an important action to take.

If you don’t have a dryer you can activate DWR by ironing with gentle heat using a cloth in between iron and garment.

To ensure long lasting performance, close all fastenings and wash your Parka on the washing machine with cold water then tumble dry low. The heat of the tumble dry helps preserve the seam sealing quality and re-activate the DWR, so it is an important action to take.

If you don’t have a dryer you can activate DWR by ironing with gentle heat using a cloth in between iron and garment.

It is the acronym for Durable Water Repellent and it is an ultra-thin coating applied to the garments so that the water beads up and rolls off the fabric. You can find DWR on our Trench, Parka and Bomber fabrics.

DWR is a long lasting finishing that does get reactivated with heat of tumble dry and ironing, but it wears off with use and wash of the garments. The good news is that it is very easy to reapply DWR and you can do it at home. You can keep your Trench and Parka waterproof for a long time following the care instructions.

To ensure long-lasting performance, close all fastenings and wash your Bomber on the washing machine with cold water then tumble dry low. The heat of tumble dry helps to fully dry and revive the fluffiness of the insulation, don’t skip it!

To ensure long lasting performance, close all fastenings, turn the garment inside out and wash your Fleece on the washing machine with warm water. If you wish to tumble dry the garment you may but keep the heat low and the garment turned inside out.
